Samhain Ritual Circle

Blessed Be. As the Wheel of the Year turns once again, gather with us in sacred circle (outside - socially distanced) to welcome Samhain and celebrate the end of the harvest season. Samhain marks the last of the three harvest festivals and honors the dark spaces of mystery as the veil thins between this world and the invisible realms.

At Samhain, the harvest has been gathered, the cycle of birth and growth has ended, the seeds of the harvest have fallen deep into the dark Earth and this year’s cycle is complete. The dark half of the year takes hold. For the Celts the day began at sunset, it began with darkness. Light is always born out of the dark, they are intrinsically linked and equally necessary. Darkness is fertile with all potential. It is a time to rest and reflect on the past, to dream of new beginnings and to honor all that have made passage from this world into the fertile darkness of the invisible realms.

Join us for ritual and ancient Celtic practices as we honor the bounty and abundance given to us by the land, celebrate the reaping of what we’ve sown, and welcome the darkness from which we come and one day will return.

Please bring one small candle in a glass container. For this circle, we encourage you to bring a picture and/or talisman of your nearest and dearest ancestors that have crossed over for the altar. All other materials will be provided. Circle will be held in The Catskills in Davenport, NY. Exact address will be given upon registration. We will gather outside rain, snow or shine.

Energetic Exchange:

Sliding Scale:
$20 ~ Blessing
$30 ~ Exchange
$40 ~ Offering

The ancient Celts lived in deep relationship with Nature and their lives physically and spiritually were guided by the seasons. We have made three Energetic Exchanges available to you in honor of where you find yourself in the seasonality of your own life. Blessing honors the time of Autumn/Winter when we are post harvest and have just enough to sustain ourselves. Exchange honors the time of Spring/Summer when our life is blossoming and we are able to share and exchange what we have with each other. Offering honors the time of Summer/Autumn when we are harvesting and reaping the abundance of what we have cultivated and able to support ourselves and others in our community.
