Women have a unique and profoundly special relationship with the Earth and her stories; the old mythologies across so many cultures speak to this truth.
In the Celtic tradition (our heritage) is the presence of the Wise Woman, or bean feasa, one who is profoundly connected to the natural world around her and who knows how to listen to the wisdom of the Earth and the wisdom of Herself. She is a woman who has reclaimed her stories, as well as her voice with which to share them. She is the vessel through which the land speaks.
Once per quarter we will gather in sacred circle just before the New Moon for ritual, seasonal practices, connection, story and ceremony. Together we will dream ourselves awake for it is the Wise Women who will remake the world.
Our next circle will gather for the Samhain Season on October 10, 2020. Circle is open to all who identify.
Please bring one small candle in a glass container. Additional altar and ceremony suggestions will be sent to you upon registration. All other materials will be provided.
We will meet at the 218th St. entrance to Inwood Hill Park. We will gather rain or shine.
Energetic Exchange:
Sliding Scale:
$20 ~ Blessing
$30 ~ Exchange
$40 ~ Offering
The ancient Celts lived in deep relationship with Nature and their lives physically and spiritually were guided by the seasons. We have made three Energetic Exchanges available to you in honor of where you find yourself in the seasonality of your own life. Blessing honors the time of Autumn/Winter when we are post harvest and have just enough to sustain ourselves. Exchange honors the time of Spring/Summer when our life is blossoming and we are able to share and exchange what we have with each other. Offering honors the time of Summer/Autumn when we are harvesting and reaping the abundance of what we have cultivated and able to support ourselves and others in our community.
